When I was a victim of ID theft 5 years ago, Fairfax county, the largest and richest county in VA had no clue as to what to advise me. I would still try to wrangle some free cookies or something out of Hannaford. Shouldn't they have to pay somehow for being such morons? My police department gave me a packet of things to do when I filed my police report, and they gave me the information about setting up the fraud alert.
